Bazaar

The Bazaar is the shopping and business district of the city, open round the clock. It is a large long, cathedral ceiling cavern lined by intricately carved pillars that depict the migration of the Gioran's into the Shier mountains. Shops are built directly into the unpolished stone sides of the room, and the floor is polished by the footsteps of thousands of people over hundreds of years. The Bazaar is lit by skylights dug through to the peak of the mountain during the day, and white phosphorus lanterns by night. A gold and quartz mosaic of Imaan is inlaid into the archway that leads further down from the Bazaar into the Imaans Caverns. The Bazaar is a bustling thriving area, the foot traffic ebbing and flowing on a regular basis. Peak period is during the twentieth hours, when most people have finished work for the day.
Here you can find vendors selling clothing, weapons, jewellery, spices, fresh produce, fine glass, and much more. There is no haggling in Qrieth, though trading one good for another is perfectly acceptable. It is common for the lower class to trade goods and services in return for groceries or clothing, with not a single note of money used.
