The Basin

The Basin is a crater in the southernmost part of the Dives in Vienda. Boxing matches sometimes take place in the center, encouraged by The Seventen, who feel the competition keeps the humans occupied.
Description
If there were a contest for "worst place on Vita," this blackened pit would win without a fight. Even the scum of the earth don't think much of the Basin. It is a pockmark on the somewhat scarred face of Vienda, a massive crater left over from the dawn of the world. A crude fighting circle has been erected in the dead center, and the fence is surrounded on all sides with packed human and wick bodies.
The din is close to unbearable. The heavy, primal sound of fistfights rings through the air, and the smells of sweat and greasy street food are overpowering. During matches, the air buzzes with voices, cheering, booing or yelling obscenities. It is impossible to be overheard in this noisy locale, making it the perfect place for illicit dealings and conspiratorial planning - as well as settling grudges the old-fashioned way.
