Grimes' Grims

On the corner of Kingsway Street, there is a smallish green building with a tiled roof and large windowpanes filling most of the curbside wall. A sign hangs from above the door, reading Grimes' Grims. This is the most well-known grimoire shop in the Headlands, and it is owned by a man named Theodrid Grimes, who many suspect went into the business of dealing in grimoires just for the opportunity to name a shop after himself.
The store's interior is brightly lit and earthy, and the scent of books is nearly overpowering. Every grimoire ever written seems to have been stuffed into this tiny shop, filling the mahogany shelves to their creaking capacity. They are arranged not by author or title, but by discipline; the physical magic tomes are stacked by the counter, and living magic is towards the back of the room.
From behind the counter, Grimes makes sure his customers put everything back in the proper place, and has a tendency to shriek at any who threaten his order. On the edge of his desk, an aged hawk hunches over and eyes customers hungrily. It manages to look very much like the shopkeep, and seems equally perturbed.
