Half-Moon Bakery

It catches your eye as you pass on the street - a short, squat little building that looks like a loaf of bread. The roof is plump with fresh thatch, and the round doors and windows seem almost painfully quaint against the cream-colored adobe walls.
Inside, the smell of freshly-baked bread and pastries would make even the hardest of criminals stop and salivate. Behind the glass display are hundreds of small cakes in every color, loaves of delicious bread, muffins, bagels, scones and more. Everything is very clean - the floors sparkle as though they were recently waxed and the countertop is pristine. The walls are papered with a pattern of half-moons on a pale blue field.
A red-haired woman smiles as you enter, her face and apron smudged with flour. She looks tired and a little sad, but most do not notice this, as they are distracted by the steaming tray of moon cakes that she is holding.
