Clarabelle is a chrove of Anaxas. Big, black and scaly, she was raised from only a few days old by Taegan. Faithfully loyal to the boy and wary of strangers coming too close to Binkie, her toy teddybear, which is carried everywhere.

Born in 2711, Clarabelle was the runt of a litter of three. As is the way with wild chroves, her siblings pushed her out of the nest, and the tiny little kitten rolled down the side of a hill and into the woods beside Ballast. Blind and starving, the mewling creature crawled her way into the warmth of a horse stable, where she was collected by Taegan Jank. The boy and the chrove were picked up only days later by Winslow and Dorian, and with the middle aged mans guidance, Taegan was able to nurse the little creature. Naming her Clarabelle, after his mother, the chrove grew up with the boy. He was her sibling, her mother, her everything. Taegan gave the little chrove an old teddybear dubbed 'Binkie', to help comfort her when he could no longer have her sleep in his kint, and forever more the bear would stay with the chrove.
