Spar Rhavat

Spar Rhavat, or the Night of the Stars, is a Hoxian holiday that takes place in bjaras; the actual date is different for most villages and towns, but in Frecks it is celebrated on the warmest night of Loshis or Hamis, which is the equivalent of spring in Hox. This typically falls on Loshis 30th or Hamis 1st.
During the ceremony, bonfires are lit and whole villages come together to tell religious stories about the beginning of the world. The purpose of the night is to put life into perspective and convince people that in comparison to the vast universe, they are tiny and insignificant. To many this would be a disturbing revelation; to a Hoxian it is a freeing sentiment that brings great relief.
Because of the nature of societies in Hox, there are very few national holidays. Resources are sparse, and celebrations are rare; birthdays and weddings are generally not celebrated at all. Spar Rhavat is the single unifying holiday in the kingdom, and it is treasured because of that.
