Roannah is the Tenth Kingdom, though perhaps it should be called the First. The adjectival and demonymic form of "Roannah" is "Roannese".
History
The history associated with Roannah is vague, much of it having been lost or burned by the galdori ancestors. It is rumored to be a cursed land of ghosts, a barren wasteland where no life can thrive. History related that Roannah has been uninhabitable ever since the War of the Book.
Most historians believe that the first galdori came from Roannah, and that the capitol city of Estua was the origin of the first grimoire. Currently, the city is sealed off by an immensely powerful Everspell, and most parts of Roannah are too dangerous to travel in. There have been no recently recorded expeditions into Roannah; the kingdom is considered sacred ground and such a mission would be sacrilegious. In the past it is rumored that expeditions into the kingdom inevitably ended in the death of all involved, probably due to the hatcher population.
