As you approach the very clear perimeter of the hatcher territory, you see a white wall of fog - thick, impenetrable fog through which no light passes. It covers the land before you like a heavy blanket.
If you are so brave and foolish as to venture forth into the land of the hatchers, you would find yourself in a cold, lightless environment. Nothing grows here; no little animals scurry about. There isn't a blade of grass or an insect in sight. All you see is blackness - that is, before you feel the hot breath on your neck and your life is drained from you with steely jaws.
Don't go into hatcher territory.
