• Opium - a narcotic drug that is obtained from the unripe seedpods of the opium poppy. Raw opium may be ground into a powder, sold as lumps, cakes, or bricks, or treated further to obtain derivatives such as morphine, codeine, and heroin. Causes euphoria, followed by a sense of well-being and a calm drowsiness or sedation. Comes with risk of addiction, nausea, confusion, shortness of breath, unconsciousness and death in large doses. Also an effective painkiller but highly addictive. Smoked or ingested. When turned into morphine, codeine and heroin can also be injected.
• Laudanum - a mix of a tincture of opium with alcohol. Supposedly promotes creativity. Causes feelings of euphoria and stimulates thought. Also an effective painkiller but highly addictive.
• Cannabis - a commonly occurring plant across Vita. Can be smoked like tobacco, or treated further to turn into oil or 'hash'. When smoked effects are almost instantaneous and last for approximately one house. Can be included in foods for a slower hitting, stronger hitting, longer lasting high.
• Coca Tea - a tea derived from the coca leaves and berries. Hallucinogenic properties. Also a powerful painkiller.
• Keleissk - Gioran drug. A strong, bitter drink made from the long fermented lichen collected from Imaan's Caverns and a mix of luminescent spores and honey. It is a pale creamy blue in color, and smells like wood rot. It leaves a mild burning sensation on the tongue and in the sinus' and is widely recognised as a low level poison. If ingested in too large a quantity it can make one violently ill. It is only used in special ceremonies or festivities, and is strictly controlled by a medical official. Its effects include intoxication, feelings of euphoria, aphrodisia and mild hallucination (both visual and audio). Side effects when it starts to wear off include nausea, headaches, sensitivity to light and gastric issues.
