The third issue of Volume 300 was published in 2699, and is notable for being the first issue of any galdori publication to contain an article co-authored by an [[Imbali|imbala]] academic: "Recontextualizing ''The Uliam's Oasis''" by Afeela Awali and Udhe pez Kasote.
|Notes=Afeela Awali was the second imbala professor at '''Tsu'un''', the college of literature at [[Thul'Amat]], and the fifth imbala professor at the university overall. Professor Afeela, as she is known, focused her early academic work on imbali writers, such as [[Imbali#Adopu|Adopu]], as was typical for imbala students and academics up until that point. With "Recontextualizing ''The Uliam's Oasis,''" however, the then junior professor made the choice to focus on an obscure but well-regarded galdori author, Ofex pez Elowi, and wrote an article about ''The Uliam's Oasis'' which substantially differed from the existing analysis of Ofex's work. 

The article was rejected for publication by the Dejai Literature Review several years in a row; Afeela met privately with several members of the review board, and was told that her scholarship was excellent, and personally they agreed with her interpretation, but, effectively, that the article would not be published. It is rumored that Afeela was on the verge of resigning her professorship over the issue, although she has said publicly since that this was not the case, and if anything the issue made her more determined to continue on at Tsu'un. 

Unexpectedly, in the spring of 2699, Afeela resubmitted the paper with a new co-author: one of the most senior members of the Literature Department at Tsu'un, Professor Udhe pez Kasote; it was subsequently accepted, and published in the third issue of the year.

Udhe was a relatively conservative member of the department; he had, in fact, voted against the initial motion several decades earlier to allow imbali faculty, arguing that they were capable enough but tradition should be upheld. Udhe never spoke publicly about his decision to join on with Afeela as a co-author. He was a notoriously private man, a widower who raised his two sons with a stern but loving hand, and never discussed them with his colleagues. It is known now, although not at the time, that Udhe's only granddaughter, Udhana, was discovered at age ten to be imbala, and was, in fact, in her third year at Thul'Amat in 2699.
