Dally Day is an Anaxi human holiday that consists of nothing but a day off of work. It was invented because of high levels of worker fatigue during the winter months. The day of Ophus 1st is a paid day of vacation. The day raises morale and gives workers a much-needed break.
Most businesses observe Dally Day, but a few of the stingier establishments do not. Regardless of the legality, most workers take the day off anyway, because local pubs are often the only places open, and there are traditional Dally Day Deals consisting of "buy two, get one free" and similar offers.
