Claude Oreau was a famous revolutionary human who tirelessly fought for human and wick rights during his lifetime. He was often quoted as saying the words "nothing is certain," referring perhaps to the often-repeated sentiment that humans cannot possibly overcome the might of the galdori.
Oreau was killed during the Rookwen Massacre on Achtus 13th, 2705, which began when he and a few like-minded humans and wicks met to discuss a possible rebellion against galdori rule. They were betrayed by an unknown traitor, and the galdori set upon them, killing everyone at the scene. The graveyard was destroyed in the fight. Each year, the anniversary of the massacre, and Oreau's death, is observed (see The Remembrance).
