Grimoires

A grimoire is a spell-book, written in Monite, that contains a collection of spells.

Often, individual galdori compile their own grimoires with the collection of spells that they use the most, for quick reference. Sometimes grimoires are collections of spells from a similar discipline, or with a theme; sometimes, all the spells within a grimoire were written by a single group of people, such as the current professors of Brunnhold.

Students rely on grimoires during their study of magic, but after a certain point, grimoires are only useful when learning new spells or remembering extremely difficult ones; most galdori memorize the spells they use.
