Kingdoms of Anaxas and Bastia
Much like Loshis, Hamis is a very rain-filled month. While more sun peeks through on a day or two and the temperatures mostly climb, there's a cold snap near the end of the month and still so many cloudy, precipitation-filled days. Almost in spite of the rain, many flowers begin to bloom this month and trees begin to bud in anticipation of Roalis.
Rivers are swollen and lakes are full. Streams and sewers experience a lot of overflow and many of the lower areas, especially in the big cities like Vienda and Florne, experience flooding in the lower class, less well maintained areas of town. Vienda's Soot District, already along the banks of the Avora, is hit especially hard this year, with several factories having to shut down until the water receeds in Roalis.
Kingdom of Hesse
The temperatures rise a good 3-5° more than in Anaxas and Bastia in the Kingdom of Hesse, meaning that crops are planted and the agricultural cycle of the rather flat kingdom begins before its neighbors. The flooding and erosion of Loshis is not present in Hamis, and much of the rain that still pelts the neighboring midlands doesn't reach over the mountains and into Hesse. Overall, this Hamis is much dryer and warmer than the northern neighbors, Anaxas and Bastia.
Kingdom of Hox
The great thaw begins in Hox in Hamis after Spar Rhavat. Snow melts and drains away in swift-flowing waterfalls and dangerously fast mudslides. Rivers swell in the steppes, fed by the water draining from off the sides of the Spondola Mountains. By the end of the month, the temperatures have risen enough that meager crops can be planted.
Kingdom of Gior
The valleys of Gior are swept clean by snowmelts and, much like elsewhere in the Six Kingdoms, the planting season begins. Sun begins to peek over the sharp cliffs by the end of Hamis, and while the high altitudes mean the temperatures are still 5-10° cooler than Anaxas or Bastian temperatures, the Gioran people begin to feel the warmth of their very short summer creep in.
Kingdom of Mugroba
The flooded rivers recede in Hamis and the temperatures soar to well into the 80s, 90s, and even 100°F during the daytime. Political season is in full swing as the rains have passed and the planting season is mostly done under clear skies with only an occasional late afternoon shower being the last vestiges of moisture the Kingdom of Mugroba will see for the rest of the year.
