Kingsway Market is the largest in Vienda, located near the Palace on historic Kingsway Lane. It is, without a doubt, the busiest place in the entire city. Half of the market is covered by a high, many-domed ceiling that protects the more permanent stalls from the elements, while the other half of the market is open-air. Along the street, colorful market stalls are crowded with hardly an inch of space between them, and thousands of people mill about during the day, buying, selling, hocking, haggling, watching street performers or simply socializing. Under the ceiling, home businesses and more permanent stalls flourish.

Here you can find vendors selling clothing, weapons, jewelry, spices, fresh produce, livestock, and much more. Haggling is a fact of life in this market, and often vendors mark up their wares double or triple what they are worth, expecting to be argued down. An inexperienced person might find they've greatly overpaid. Competition is rife between the stall owners, and often fist-fights will break out over a tally's difference on the price of fish.

Despite the competitive atmosphere, the market is one of the safest spots in Vienda, for the Seventen patrol up and down the street all day. For this reason, Kingsway is avoided by the shadier types - they can easily do their trading on Hollow Street, where the Seventen rarely venture.
