Below you will find the Weather Almanac for Intas 2719 across all of Vita.
Weather in the Kingdoms
Please note that while weather is currently only calculated for the Kingdoms of Anaxas and Bastia, each of the other Six Kingdoms has their temperature and weather variances listed below.
The First of Intas marks the beginning of the new year across all of the kingdoms, and while each kingdom celebrates the turning of the year in different ways, the Kingdom of Anaxas is most famous for their Clock's Eve celebrations. A cloudy and windy, frigid evening welcomes 2719 AT, but there are plenty of folks willing to celebrate none the less.
Kingdoms of Anaxas and Bastia
Intas in the Kingdoms of Anaxas and Bastia is bitter cold and windy, with strong and destructive wind storms whipping through the open areas only to be covered by heavy snow.
There are auspicious days on the 19th and 20th of Intas when both moons are full and the nights are clear, the light of Benea and Osa both reflecting brightly off the heavy snow that coated much of the midlands of Vita on the 16th.
The worst of the wind storms occurrs on the 12th of Intas, ripping trees from the ground and destroying homes, proving itself especially destructive to outlying villages, towns, and the nomadic wick population in the Northern Tors of Anaxas.
Weather in the Kingdom of Hesse
While temperatures in Hesse are mostly on par with Anaxas and Bastia, sometimes a few degrees cooler (3-5 degrees), Hesse receives less snow during the month of Intas than the other two kingdoms. Instead, the wind storms across the open, rocky plains are far more dangerous, halting travel for days, especially between the 12th and the 20th, disrupting trade. On the wet days in Anaxas, Hesseans wake up to landscapes coated in thick ice instead.
Weather in the Kingdom of Hox
Hox has been buried in snow and ice since Vortas, and Intas is no exception. The stoic northernmost people ring in the new year with quiet celebrations made in elaborate buildings carved and sculpted out of the frozen landscape, lit by phosphor lanterns and warmed by chan. The northern auroras are exceptional this year, sparkling in green and blue hues tinged with yellows and purples, dancing ribbons of light high in the atmosphere. Instead of any windstorms, the Kingdom of Hox is simply coated in more snow, patiently awaiting the thaw of Bethas to come quickly.
Temperatures in the Kingdom of Hox are 10 to 15 degrees colder than Anaxas, meaning on the coldest days in Intas, the Kingdom sees temperatures dipping below -30°F.
Weather in the Kingdom of Gior
Gior, much like Hox, has been buried in snow for seasons now, the hardy mountain folk warm and safe in their carved caverns, unaffected by the winds and ice. The harsh conditions disrupt internal travel in the Kingdom, however, and the movement of people and supplies between mountain strongholds is harshly restricted. This makes for a difficult month, but one which the self-sufficient Giorans take in spiritual stride.
Due to the high altitudes in much of the Kingdom of Gior, temperatures are 5 to 10 degrees colder than Anaxas.
Weather in the Kingdom of Mugroba
It is said that the Mugrobi people never really complain about the weather, so used to the dichotomy of desert life that can be found in sweltering days and frigid nights, but Intas in the Kingdom of Mugroba proves itself to be especially chilly. While no rain or snow touches the dry kingdom's interior so much as hints at precipitation across mountain ranges and in the swamps of Fen Kierdan and along the coasts in the north, the wind in Intas is horrible. Sandstorms whip through the sands, coating outlying villages and making airship travel deadly. Thul'ka residents are forced to take shelter several times during the month, only to dig themselves out of feet of sand.
Temperatures in Mugroba are 30 to 40 degrees warmer than the Kingdom of Anaxas during the day, and 10 to 20 degrees warmer than Anaxas at night. On a couple of nights in early Intas, the desert kingdom experiences negative temperatures late in the night, but other than that, almost never dips below freezing.
