Description

Energy Mages affect the way that light, sound and magnetism are experienced in the physical world. An Energy mage may increase or decrease light sources at will, change the way sounds are perceived by making them louder, softer or changing how they sound all together, and manipulating magnetic fields to increase polarity or create a static charge.

Elementary

At this level, Energy mages are learning how lights and sounds affect the world, going so far as to be able to create lights and sounds from nothingness, or diminish them from natural sources. Elementary Energy mages also study how gravity binds objects together, and can begin to manipulate magnetic fields in minor ways to attract or repels objects, or create static electricity that can discharge for a discomforting jolt.

Intermediate

Intermediate Energy mages have come into their own with their magic. Able to completely extinguish light sources and deaden sound around them, Energy mages at this level gain fearsome ability to manipulate the natural world. Also at this level, Intermediate Energy mages have learned how to change the magnetic pull of objects their size or smaller, increasing or decreasing as they see fit. The electricity generated by these mages at this level is enough to send the body into shock, or can restart a heart.

Advanced

Truly powerful, Advanced Energy mages becomes sources of their own light and sound. Able to change how sound waves reverberate, as well as amplifying and diminishing both light and sound to unbearable levels give these mages a reputation as some of the most terrifying mages on Vita. While the upper limits have never been tested, it is theoretically possible for an Energy mage of this caliber to change the polarity of continents, or throw lightning bolts created from the amount of electricity they can generate from rapidly changing magnetic fields.

After Effects

Energy mages may be the most susceptible to small after effects of their spells. Often lights flicker unnaturally, and sounds may take a moment or two longer to reach their ears than others. Fabrics stick to their skin and sometimes metal with move in their presence after casting.

Long term effects of this Branch include permanent blindness or deafness, as well as weaker bones from changing polarities. Some even experience unnatural heart rhythms and palpitations after extended use.
