Weather in the Kingdoms
Please note that while weather is currently only calculated for the Kingdoms of Anaxas and Bastia, each of the other Six Kingdoms has their temperature and weather variances listed below.
This year's Bethas is a rather wet month across the midlands of Anaxas, Bastia, and Hesse with far more snow than usually expected and rather chilly temperatures, winter clinging to the Six Kingdoms with a merciless grip. The nomadic wicks of the Kingdom of Anaxas and parts of Bastia have suffered greatly this winter, longing for spring.
Kingdoms of Anaxas and Bastia
Bethas in the two sister kingdoms is very wet and cold. Everyone is absolutely tired of snow by the end of this month, so ready for a change of season. Near the end of Bethas, temperatures take a frigid dip back into the teens, but once they rise again in the last week of the month, the promise of mild weather is finally an honest one.
There are auspicious days on the 11th and 12th of Bethas when both moons are full, but another wind storm makes such superstitions about good fortune seem rather suspect indeed. The worst of the wind storms occurrs on the 11th, the storm almost as severe as Intas' storm around the same time, only the wind continues until the 14th of Bethas, making repairs and recovery difficult.
Kingdom of Hesse
While temperatures in Hesse are mostly on par with Anaxas and Bastia, sometimes a few degrees cooler, Hesse receives less snow during the month of Bethas than the other two kingdoms. Rain and ice are severe, however, and much more debilitating than they were in Intas, impeding travel in the mountains and across road that aren't maintained by the government.
Kingdom of Hox
Slowly, just barely noticeably, the Great Thaw begins in the Kingdom of Hox. As the weather begins to warm, Hoxians see little of the snow that coats the Midlands. Instead, more sun means that inch by inch, trickle by trickle, the thick blanket of frozen white stuff can finally start melting.
Temperatures in Hox are 5 to 10 degrees colder than Anaxas, meaning on the coldest days in Bethas, the Kingdom still sees temperatures dipping far below freezing.
Kingdom of Gior
Gior continues to be shrouded in chilly temperatures, though because of the drier alpine climate, receives less of the wet snow that coats the sister kingdoms of Anaxas and Bastia as well as less of the winds. Unlike the northernmost Kingdom of Hox, however, the thawing of Gior really doesn't begin until the rainy season of Loshis.
Due to the high altitudes in much of the Kingdom of Gior, temperatures are 5 to 10 degrees colder than Anaxas.
Kingdom of Mugroba
The wind that continues to whip through the midlands to the south and west continues to stir up plenty of sandstorm activity in Mugroba, but overall, the desert Kingdom begins to settle into its spring temperatures. Warmer days and warmer nights hint at the rebirth of the next season, and while the winds hinder trade by air, the sea between Mugroba and Anaxas' Old Rose Harbor is flourishing with much-needed supplies once again.
Temperatures in Mugroba are 30 to 40 degrees warmer than the Kingdom of Anaxas during the day, and 10 to 20 degrees warmer than Anaxas at night.
